Convince me why I shouldn’t buy one of these badge engineered monstrosities. There’s one for $4,100 that looks almost exactly like the one in this image that I keep seeing on my daily commute, and it’s pretty clean.

Umm obviously the right choice is too buy an FB or sa rx7, possibly an fc in that price range
Rx7 is always the answer

If you want more features, may I suggest a Captiva?

I’ve already dealt with head gaskets. I don’t want to deal with apex seals.

For every Captiva I’ve seen there’s about 20 more Vues.

That’s weird. Maybe it’s because I’m in the South, but I see a lot of Captivas as personal vehicles.

You won’t have to deal with them if you take preventative maintenance Seriously and treat your motor right

Make sure the transmission has been fixed and timing chains have been done if it’s a 3.6 and has more than 80,000 miles. Otherwise, I loved my mom’s 2008 XR V6. The interior was alarmingly nice for a pre-bankruptcy GM product and they drive pretty decently.

Rumor has it it’s one of if not the best car GM made during that period of time.

The piece of paper in the window claimed the transmission had been redone. Whether it was replaced is questionable. It’s an auto.

The 6T70 had a design flaw that caused the 3-5-Reverse waveplate fail and wipe out some internals. Typically they were repaired rather than replaced. It should be good for the rest of the car’s life should it be taken care of.
